Hockey Draw

The draw has just been made for hockey (men’s and women’s competitions) and we have requested tickets to those hockey sessions in which Great Britain will be playing and we are hopeful of receiving an additional allocation of tickets. Priority will, of course, go to the relatives of our Great Britain hockey teams but we are also inviting requests from the general public which we will look to confirm, subject to what we receive from BOCOG.

For full details of the individual matches and dates please click here. If you are an existing client please download and complete a Ticket Amendment Form and send it in to our team as indicated on the form. Should you be looking to make a your first ticket request you can do this by clicking on the "Book Tickets and Packages" button and follow the instructions.

Session updates

Rowing

BOCOG have now released ‘B’ Category tickets for all Rowing sessions for which we have secured a small number of tickets. These new tickets will be of a lesser standard than the ‘A’ category tickets which have been available to date and are likely to be general admission tickets which means that access can be gained to the venue, but NOT a reserved seat. However, the price of most of these ‘B’ category tickets has been set at the same level as the ‘A’ category by BOCOG.

Athletics Marathon

Despite previous information from BOCOG that both Marathon sessions would not be ticketed we have now been informed that tickets are available and have secured a limited supply for sessions AT05 and AT17. These tickets give access to the Olympic stadium enabling the ticket holder to watch the competitors complete the last few metres of the Marathon.

Ticket allocations

Any client who has submitted a ticket request up to and including Friday 13 June 2008 is included in the ticket allocation process we are currently working on and will receive an updated ticket status report by Friday 27 June 2008. Tickets will be allocated subject to availability. The deadline for the next ticket allocation procedure is 09:00 (BST) on Monday 7 July.

As we are so close to the start of the games our team in Beijing are working on seat assignments and are no longer able to add new requests to existing bookings. Therefore, all ticket amendment forms received since Monday 16 June 2008 will be set up as a new booking with a different reference number. This process does not require additional action from clients, so please continue to submit your amendment forms in the usual manner.

Ticket availability

There has been unprecedented demand for attending the Games in China this August and we are faced with challenges to secure sufficient tickets from BOCOG for our clients. Overall, BOCOG has confirmed only around a third of all the tickets we have requested on our clients’ behalf and, for certain events (Ceremonies, Cycling Track and Swimming, for example) we have received far less than this – with no chance of getting more tickets.

The Ticket Availability Report has been updated and is available to download below.

TICKET AVAILABILITY REPORT 19th JUNE 2008

Relatives of Competitors: We are still able to accept ticket requests from relatives of competitors for all sessions in the sports your relatives are competing in. Please make sure that you advise us of who you are looking to support when making your ticket request online.

New ticket requests

Existing customers wishing to request new tickets should download and complete a
Ticket Amendment Form . Once completed, this should be printed and:
- faxed back to +44 (0)870 385 0809, or
- posted to Sportsworld Olympic Team, Windrush Court, Blacklands Way,
  Abingdon OX14 1SY, or
- scanned and e-mailed to beijing2008@sportsworld.co.uk

Customers who have received tickets to date and have a credit owing to them may take the opportunity to ‘apply’ this amount towards new ticket requests or, in the case of tour package customers, towards their final balance. Customers who request a refund for unconfirmed tickets will be credited within 14 days of receipt of a completed Ticket Amendment Form, by the same method originally used to make payment to Sportsworld.

Ticket refunds

We will no longer be asking clients to request a refund by submitting a ‘Ticket Amendment Form’. As we have so few tickets remaining all outstanding refunds will automatically be processed by Sportsworld. Clients will receive these monies by cheque, or credit back to the card used when booking. Due to the volume of refunds we need to process, these refunds will be received within 28 days.
