Will the registration fee that I have paid be deducted from my initial payment? Should this be deducted from my tour or ticket booking?
Yes, the website will recognise you (when you enter your unique ref no) and will deduct your registration fee from either your initial package deposit or your ticket payment.

I’d like to visit other parts of China – can you help?

When will you have more information about Club GB?
We do not have a date as yet but our tour package guests will be the first to hear about it. If you would like to join our mailing list and be first to find out about this and other Olympic news, email beijing2008@sportsworld.co.uk.

When will you have more information about Ceremony parties?
We are monitoring levels of interest and waiting to see how many Ceremony tickets we receive. We will have more information in Autumn 2007.

When will you have more information about Olympian hosted dinners?
We are monitoring levels of interest and will contact interested clients and post full details on our website as soon as they become available.

When will I receive my final tour package documentation?
4 weeks prior to departure.

When will I receive my event tickets?
Tour package clients will have their tickets delivered to their hotel. Non- package clients will collect from our Ticket Centre in Beijing.
Full details will be sent to all clients in late Spring 2008.

Kelly Holmes Gold What are the prices for children for a) tours b) flights c) event tickets
There are no reductions for children on tour package or event ticket prices.
Flights – Child rates are available and subject to the age less than 12 years will be available on application. Infant costs are for less than 2 years old. It is unlikely that we will receive child rates on our guaranteed allocations in to and out of China. If you are requesting seats outside of this allocation child fares will be subject to the airline’s rules and availability

Do you give reductions to close relatives of competitors purchasing a tour package? Amir Khan Silver
Yes, as the British Olympic Association’s officially appointed ticket and tour agent we can offer a
10% discount on tour packages (not on flights or event tickets).
In addition we have some reduced priced
packages based at a 2* property in bunk bedded rooms. These packages have not been advertised directly to the general public so are a fixed price. We will require your relative’s BOA passport number to ensure the reductions and favoured rates.

As a relative or friend of a competitor do I have more chance of getting tickets for their events?
Yes – we will look to give you priority wherever possible. Please complete the relevant section of your booking form, or ticket the appropriate box online.

I’m disabled. Can you help with my arrangements in China?
Let us know your requirements and we will do our best to come up with a suitable package for you. Steven Parry Bronze

Can I upgrade my hotel room?
Please ensure this is noted during your booking and we will attempt to fulfil this for you, but upgrades are subject to availability.

I want connecting bedrooms for my wife and myself and my children. Can you guarantee this?
We will certainly make a note of your special request however this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Ticketing

Are the tickets allocated on a 1st come 1st serve basis?
Yes, except in special circumstances such as reserving tickets for parents of competitors. Generally, the earlier you request tickets from us the better your chances of securing them.

Can you sell tickets to UK residents who live overseas?
Yes, but only if they are resident in another EU member country (list provided at the start of the booking process). Our contract with BOCOG means that we cannot accept any ticket requests from residents of countries we do not represent.

Can my friend/relation collect the tickets for me on my behalf from your distribution centre in Beijing? Supporters
No, tickets must be collected by the person who originally booked the tickets. Photo ID will be required to collect the tickets.

Can I order tickets for friends in China?
No

Do friends and relatives of competitors get priority on event tickets?
Yes. We will require your relative’s BOA passport number to ensure priority.

Flights

When do you envisage being able to confirm flight prices, routings and timings?
Flights generally go on public sale 11 months prior to departure. We are working closely with Air China to get our allocation prior to general release.

General Info

Sightseeing Tour 3 When will I receive further information about obtaining my visa?
Currently you are only able to apply for a Chinese Visa 3 months prior to travel.
In line with the earliest date possible we will send you a tour itinerary and visa application form along with examples of how to complete the form and where to send your application.

How do the t-shirt sizes work?
T-shirt sizes will vary between suppliers but we suggest using the following:

Female: SM (10) ME (12) LA (14) XL (16)
Male: SM (36-38) ME (38-40) LA (40-42) XL (42-44) XXL (44-46)

What is the weather going to be like?
Average temperatures in Beijing range from 25 - 30°C but can reach late 30s.

Sightseeing Tour 1 Can you arrange a visa if I am just purchasing event tickets or flights?
We can arrange a visa for you at extra cost if you are not purchasing a tour package. Simply indicate your interest during your booking.

What plugs do they use in China?
Standard is 220v – two round pin and 3 flat pin sockets. Many hotels have English sockets and/or can provide adaptors, however we recommend that you take an adaptor.
