Sightseeing in Hong Kong

We can arrange a wide variety of excursions in Hong Kong on your behalf. Below are a few highlighted examples – choose one of these popular group trips or ask for your own personal escorted tour.

Behind the Mask of Hong Kong

Beginning in Aberdeen, the contrast in Hong Kong lifestyles is never more evident. Sampans zip around the harbour, dwarfed by huge multi-million dollar yachts and fishing boats in the marina. Then it’s onto Stanley, past the lovely Repulse Bay, home to designer shops and award-winning restaurants. We stop at Stanley Market for some bargains on designer goods and factory outlet clothing, brassware, porcelains, leather goods and souvenirs. To round off the trip, take a tram ride to Victoria Peak for a 360-degree view of the city, harbour and islands that have mesmerised visitors and inspired photographers since the tramway opened in 1888.

Hollywood Road and Cat Street

Hollywood Road is famous as the ‘antiques row’ of Hong Kong and is renowned for its collection of historic relics from different countries and Chinese sorrel wood antique furniture. Hollywood Road and upper Lascar Row, also known as ‘Cat Street’, are must-see stops on every visitor's itinerary. With all the Chinese arts and crafts on display, you can pick up plenty of souvenirs. You can also visit Man Mo Temple and be dropped off at Nam Pei Street for an excellent photo opportunity.

Off the Beaten track

- Wong Tai Sin Taoist Temple is one of Kowloon's most colourful and popular temples. Wong Tai Sin is considered as a mystic god of good fortune. You can join with locals here to have your futures foretold.
- Bird Garden is a fascinating local market for all types of pet birds, the Bird Garden sells everything from beautiful bamboo cages to bags of seeds, grasshoppers and worms. This market has grown out of the Chinese fascination with songbirds and speaking birds.
- Jade Market is packed with dealers selling all manner of carved jade including bangles, earrings, and intricately detailed pendants. Buyer beware: not all of the jade is genuine!

Lantau Island Escape

- Lantau Island is Hong Kong's largest island boasting some of Hong Kong's finest scenery, including the world’s longest suspension bridge. We will visit Tai O , a beautiful small fishing village with homes built on wooden stilts over the water, and Cheung Sha, one of the finest sweeps of long smooth sandy beach on Lantau
- Po Lin Monastery is the island’s most famous attraction… the world’s largest outdoor bronze Buddha; at 72 feet high, the statue was completed in 1990
- Wisdom Path is a 10 minute walk from the Giant Buddha, an outdoor wooden replica of the centuries-old Heart Sutra, one of the world's best known Buddhist sutras (or prayers).
